Matt Dobson Launches New Online Portfolio

Matt Dobson just sent us his new online portfolio of work. You can take a look at his new site here:

www.mattdobson.com

We would have included something about him here, but the site didn't have an 'about me' page to steal from. I guess he will just have to remain a mystery. Keep up the great work.

I love Matt's work & this site is a step in the right direction. There's not really a lot to it...and I hate to knock anyone's effort when they are trying to improve.

I'm not a fan of the frames & the horizontal scroll...maybe just a gallery of large thumbnails with a lightbox might be more user friendly.

Great portfolio though...I could stand to see a lot more of Matt's work.

Deanna, thanks for the feedback. Thanks to CreateLouisville for posting my site.

My goal with designing the site was to make something that showed off my work and that I could update easily. My old site collected a lot of digital dust because it was a chore to add work to.

I am definitely not a web designer and if there is anyone out there that would
like to volunteer their web design services I would be grateful.

Thanks again for the post, I appreciate any feedback, praise or criticism.

-Matt

Right on! You know, if it works for you then it just does.

Depending on how much volunteering you had in mind, I might be able to provide at least some guidance. Email me anytime, no problem. I really dig your work...keep it up.

I LOVE this stuff! I really like Matt's paintings and the Home page is well cool.

If the goal of the site is to display Matt's work and not inundate viewers with the normal (trite) sales / marketing content, I wouldn't change a thing: This site does what it's supposed to do with a minimum of fuss.

His work is large, easy to see and understand, and his contact information is right there. You go, girl.
