The Wil Show

With video becoming ever so popular on the web, it is not surprising that we are seeing many people become famous for their YouTube videos. I can't help but think of the classic "Chocolate Rain", by Tay Zonday. Wow, that was definitely weird, but yet compelling for some unknown reason. So intriguing to the masses that even Dr. Pepper took a spin on it.

So what goes into making a video popular? Just doing it? Is that enough? Maybe. Hell, it's worth a shot. I guess you really don't know until you try.

Meet Wil, a guy who has been popping up a lot here in Louisville lately. A comedian? An entrepreneur? An actor? A musician? I'm not entirely sure. However it seems pretty cool that people are making the effort to get noticed on their own time and dime as opposed to the 'pipe dream' of making it big in Hollywood.

Wowzer! Wil, Wil, Wil, what are you doing?! I can't decide if I love or hate this dedicated maniac. It hasn't made me laugh yet, but I've checked this site out numerous times, and I keep coming back. I'm pretty picky about the sites I peruse so that's saying a lot.

It's nice to know someone in Louisville has the guts to be this crazy, and keep on truckin. I'm a fan of crazy over the top comedy like Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job so this should be right up my ally. Maybe if I was into Teen Beat or Aaron Carter this would make more sense. I'd love to know how many hits this guy gets a month. Someone please find out!

So is it just me, or is the music video to "heartbreaker" completely disturbing? Kids dancing to a song about sex, while a guy that has the hair from the early-nineties TV show, "Beauty & The Beast" dances around the hallway with his "buddies"? Where did those dance moves come from? Wil may be a lot of things, but a choreographer, he is not.

On an artistic note, I do have to give him credit for doing it. Putting himself out there. That's more than most of us do.

I'll bet if Wil would get over himself and realize that even the best comedians in the land have real writers and a decent production team, then he might start having something. I look forward to that day.

I love this site. I'm still not exactly sure what is suppose to be funny or serious. It's a lot funnier if I imagine it all as being serious though. With most blogs being about tech talk, or celeb gossip it's nice to see a variety show.
