Thanks to Matt Dobson for submitting his own work. Matt did the illustration along with his wife Lindsey who did the lettering.

Looks like a gigposter to me. So that's good.
Would have enjoyed some great typeface work in there rather than have the whole thing be hand-drawn. But its unique, that's for sure.
Personally, love the font style. If a vector font was used instead of the hand drawn style, I don't know if the piece would work as well for me.

I am pretty sure that I am not the audience for this piece, so these comments may or may not be relevant.
My initial reaction is that "yeah, that's pretty cool". Matt obviously has talent. I am not sure how the images connect to the group or the event - maybe they don't need to.
As a broad generalization, I find that too much design can sometimes take away from the main goal - BUY TICKETS!
With that said, if I saw this on a busy bulletin board at a Heine Brothers, I bet I would check it out to see what it was for.
