Even if you have a snapshot of something creative, send it and show it! This piece was seen hanging up in the window of Cahoots on Bardstown Rd.
Terrastock is a festival coming to town in June. It takes place at the Melwood Arts Center, Louisville Kentucky on June 19th - 22nd, 2008. Check out a larger shot of this piece here.
If you have a better shot or have any details on this piece, let us know.

Thanks to telabs for letting us know where this work came from. Unfortunately, Louisville can't claim this one.
Iker Spozio did this piece, which is actually an engraving. Check out the collection of work here: www.ikerspozio.com
Interesting take on the design, mattdobson. As someone who doesn't know that much about the "history" behind this style design, I actually still enjoy the style. Yes, its overdone, but the reason why things are usually overdone is because its good.
Is this poster the best version of this style I've seen? No. Is it a decent poster? I think so. Vector and digital art have come so far, I think embracing it and making it part of your repertoire is something that all artists should do.
The ones that do it well are amazing. Besides the 3D, check out much of the digital Illustration here.
or here.
I think there is still life to this style. But bringing it into a digital world might be what it needs.
The piece is by an artist named Iker Spozio, an Italian living in Paris.
And it's not digital. It's an engraving. I know this because my company commissioned the work, and I happen to own a copy of it without the hand lettered text.
Hey, Thanks Dadmin for updating.
If I can figure out a way to post a copy of the original I will.
We had a few arguments about the final design, to be sure. But I think Iker did pretty okay.
Either way, please come to the festival, y'all. You'll love it.
Hey telabs,
No problem. That is what we are here for. Personally, I really like the poster, and I thought Iker had a very nice collection of work. Unfortunately his site is down so you can't check anything out.
Terrastock sounds cool - definitely will try and go.

I think this poster looks very tired. You can google "psychedelic poster" to see thousands of similar designs. Better still, google "Wes Wilson" one of the styles originators.
Part of the beauty of this style of poster was the hand drawn-figures and hand-crafted type, the combination of which made the images have a very organic feel. This poster with its vector perfect lines and type feels much more static and cold.
This has become a default style for a certain type of music, but I think it is very out of place except to serve nostalgia. Poor imitations of classic styles don't serve homage to their inspiration they only detract from the power of the originals. It has been over 40 years since this style emerged/evolved, I would like to hope that this style could be built upon and expanded into something of it own as opposed to regurgitating the work of previous generations. If the original creators of these posters had simply rehashed Art Nouveau advertisements instead of reinterpreting their inspirations we wouldn't have this wealth of visuals to be inspired by today.
