You may have seen this series of ads around town.  You may have chuckled to yourself as I did.  Well, Creative Alliance won 3 Gold Addys for this series.  Congrats!  Let's hear some thoughts on the work.

We only have images we found online, so if anyone over at Creative Alliance has better res files, send 'em along so we can post.

So simple, but yet hilarious. It's like the "Look Who's Talking" for dogs. I think that what shines here is the copy writing. It's witty, smart, and gets the point across. After all, that is what advertising's purpose is.

Compositionally, I think it works too. No reason to go overboard here. Clever use of type, simple color use, and just some goofy dog pics, that are just fun to look at. The type being rough in nature, I guess is how I envision a dog would possibly write. Maybe that is a few million years away, but you get the idea. Seeing a crisp, refined font here, might not work so well.

Overall, a winner when I first saw it a year ago, and worthy of the Gold ADDY. Congrats CA!

I feel sorry for all the unsuspecting parents driving down the highway, blushing when their six year olds ask them what a condom is.

Still, it's a much more fun and effective way to raise awareness than Bob Barker.

I loved these ads. Great design, clever strategy: provocative for the sake of getting necessary attention, but completely appropriate to the subject and context.

The more stuff like this Louisville creates, the better.
